Data Collection Jewish Genealogy


In this section of the website you will find information on persons of Jewish faith who lived in Brandenburg between about 1750 and 1930.

The content focus is on births, marriages and deaths.

The main sources are documents held in German archives, in particular the Brandenburg Main State Archive (Brandenburgische Landeshauptarchiv) and the Prussian Secret State Archives (Geheimes Staatsarchiv Preussischer Kulturbesitz).

Can I participate?

The work on this section is currently done by a research group consisting of 3 people, located in Germany, New Zealand and Spain. If you are interested in participating, kindly contact Klaus Boas.
